A Case of Behcet's Disease Associated with SVC Syndrome

Abstract
The Behcet's disease is recognized as chronic relapsing inflammatory disease affecting mucocutaneous, ocular, intestinal, articular, vascular, urogenital and neurologic systems. Vascular lesions include superficial thrombophlebitis, large vein
thrombosis, and arterial aneurysms.
We experienced a case of Behcet's disease with superior vena cava syndrome. The patient was 38 year-old man with recurent oral and genital ulcer. He abruptly developed edematous swelling of face and neck. MRI, CT and venogram showed thrombosis of
superior vena cava, and subclavian vein without any external compression. Oral coumarin therapy was given to the patient without satifactory improvement.
We report Behcet's disease with SVE cyndrome which was resistant to oral coumarin therapy.
